Terms of use

These terms cover the Tasteful waitlist and the Tasteful iPhone app. Tasteful is iPhone-only. Questions: [email protected].

The service

Tasteful helps you plan meals from your tastes, dietary needs, pantry, cook time, and grocery budget. Recipe costs, nutrition, and imported cooking videos are estimates. Tasteful is not medical advice. Allergen warnings depend on the information you enter and on available product data; always check labels yourself.

Accounts

You may create an account with email and password, Sign in with Apple, or Google. You may optionally connect a Discord account from Profile. You are responsible for the credentials you use. Do not upload content you do not have the right to use. Imported video recipes must come from a URL you are allowed to submit.

Premium and billing

The current iPhone app does not sell in-app purchases. Waitlist phone verification may unlock a Tasteful Premium offer for a later paid release. If Apple billing is added, those purchases are billed by Apple. Deleting a Tasteful account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage subscriptions at https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

Deleting an account

The in-app deletion control is not enabled yet. To request deletion now, email [email protected] from the address on your account. When the control is enabled, it will be available at Profile > Account access > Delete account. Confirming there will deactivate the account immediately. Permanent deletion will begin 604800 seconds later, seven days after confirmation, unless you sign in and choose Reactivate account. See Delete your account.

Acceptable use

Do not abuse the API, scrape the service, or use Tasteful to generate or store unlawful content. We may suspend an account that harms the service or other people.

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page is the current version.
